Duties and Responsibilities:
Assistant Managers are trained in every aspect of store operations including: HR, training, customer service, category management, book keeping, reporting, merchandising, marketing, and physical plant maintenance. Assistant Managers interact daily with team members, customers, vendors, and administration. Applicants must be confident in speaking with new people and comfortable working in an upbeat and fast paced work environment.
Additional responsibilities and opportunities will be granted as growth demands and as individuals display the skills and abilities necessary to meet additional demands. The career path consists of progression to Store Director and potentially regional management positions as company growth occurs.
Qualifications:
- Pet knowledge is NOT a requirement, but a desire to learn and share pet care information is essential
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Effective communicator
- Strategic planner with the ability to execute
- Creative approach to problem solving
- Ability to think and react in a fast paced environment
- Team-oriented
- Basic PC skills
- Leadership ability
- Self-starter
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Occasional travel a must
- Willingness to consider relocation a plus
Duties and Responsibilities for Cahiers and Stockers:
Cashiers are trained in every aspect of customer service. Running a cash register, cash controls, inventory maintenance, and over-all store operations. Cashiers interact daily with other team members, management, and customers. Applicants must be confident in speaking with new people and comfortable working in an upbeat and fast paced work environment.
Stockers are trained in customer service, inventory management and controls as well as physical plant management.
Additional responsibilities and opportunities will be granted as growth demands and as individuals display the skills and abilities necessary to meet additional demands. The career path consists of progression to Shift Manager, Assistant Manager, Store Director and potentially regional management positions as company growth occurs.
